Occupying an area of over 200 hectares, it includes a Fruit Farm Area, Milk Cow Area, Lovely Animal Area and an artificial lake inside the ranch where people can camp, barbecue, fish, pick fruit, catch a mud fish, ride a bullock-cart, milk a cow, and ride a tandem bicycle. Currently, it is a recreational area combining agriculture, forestry, fishery and animal husbandry.

Qixingtan, Liyutan Waterfront Park, Litsun Fish Culture Farm, National Dong Hwa University (the highest education establishment in eastern Taiwan) and Jianqing Monastery are characteristic tourist attractions on Tai-9 Highway. Visitors must not miss these spots on their trip to Hualien.

This is an interactive ocean ecology theme park. Currently, the facilities in the park include the Mariner’s Cove, Discovery Island Aquarium, Sea Lion Ecological Park, Dolphin Lagoon, Swimming with the dolphin pool, Sea Lion Feeding Area, etc. There are trams and elevators visitors can use to travel around the park. The overall architecture of the park is based on a 19th century British pier and shore carnival and the concepts of advanced aquarium design, in order to display ecology, environment and the ocean together.
